Vector Anchor Bolts

Made from high quality forged steel, Vector Bolts have a series of angular facets which resolve vertical stress forces into a cone-shaped pressure pattern. An advantage of this unique design is the greater increased contact area between the bolt and the grout. The wedge shaped design on the bottom of the bolt transfers the tensile load of the stud into a lateral compressional load in the foundation assuring maximum pull out strengths. The increase in load transfer to the foundation results in a reduction of the embedment depth required to obtain full strength of the anchor. This reduction in required embedment depth lowers the installation cost by reducing the core drilling and grouting requirements.

High-Strength Anchoring with Superior Load Transfer

UNISORB® Vector Bolts are engineered to deliver exceptional anchoring performance in demanding machine installations. Manufactured from premium 90,000 lb tensile steel, these anchor rods feature a forged embedment end designed with angled facets that convert vertical loads into distributed, cone-shaped forces within the grout or concrete.

This unique geometry significantly increases pull-out resistance by maximizing load transfer and grout contact area, providing superior holding power compared to conventional anchor bolts. Unlike traditional “L” bolts, Vector Bolts require substantially less space within the anchor pocket, allowing for smaller core-drilled holes and reduced grout volume—resulting in faster installation and lower overall installation costs.

Ideal for heavy machinery and precision equipment anchoring, Vector Bolts combine high tensile strength with advanced load distribution, ensuring secure, reliable performance under both static and dynamic loading conditions.

Vector Anchor Bolt Design and Applications

Vector Anchor Bolts are designed to provide high-strength anchoring for industrial machinery and equipment foundations. Their forged-steel construction and angular, wedge-shaped design help transfer the tensile forces from the anchor bolt into the surrounding grout and concrete foundation.

The Vector Bolt design increases the contact area between the bolt and grout, creating an effective load-transfer mechanism within the foundation. The wedge-shaped lower section converts tensile loading into lateral compressional forces, helping maximize pull-out strength.

Another advantage of the Vector Anchor Bolt design is that it can reduce the embedment depth required to achieve the required anchoring strength. This can reduce the amount of core drilling and grouting required during machine installation, potentially simplifying the installation process.

Vector Anchor Bolts are available in multiple diameters and standard lengths to accommodate different machine installation requirements. The appropriate bolt size and embedment should be selected according to the equipment, foundation, loading conditions, and installation requirements.
